After months of failed attempts, I finally decided to ditch the tutorials and experiment. And the result was this!
I think it turned out pretty decent for my first painting.
And its Torchic cuz it's chicken that cooks itself.

Wait, this is your first digital painting? I think mine looked...rather more like a blur of incomprehensibility, and less like an actual thing. Nice work for a first attempt. The only thing that really strikes me as needing improvement is the foot area - particularly the (viewer's-)left side; it just looks like that leg is shorter than the other one to me. That could just be my imagination, though, and overall, nice use of colors.
